Chi Alpha at Texas State is a movement of students at Texas State who are in love with Jesus Christ and are earnestly striving to grow in our relationship with Him. We enjoy coming together to meet with God, meet as friends, and meet real needs.

Tuesday Night Live

Tuesday Night Live

Every Tuesday we gather as a community to have a time of fellowship, worship and hear a good, college-student geared teaching. We meet every Tuesday at 7:30 pm at 310 W Hutchison St during the long semesters.

What can I expect?

It is our desire that every student at Texas State be introduced to a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. What might this look like? We encourage you to connect to one of our many PODs (small group bible studies) that meet each week for bible study and prayer. Each Tuesday night we gather together for worship and teaching.   We also enjoy times of fun and outreach that might include intramurals, tailgating, retreats, community service, international student gatherings, and mission trips. We have a lot of fun-loving Jesus and making friendships that will last a lifetime!

Are there Chi Alpha groups on other campuses?

Chi Alpha at Texas State is part of a national movement known as Chi Alpha Campus Ministries. Since the first campus chapter began in 1953, Chi Alpha has spread to over 300 campuses in the U.S. and has a close association with hundreds of other groups around the world.  XA is sponsored by the Assemblies of God and is open to students from all religious or ethnic backgrounds.
